Austin, TX–based culinary guide who believes nourishing meals should be both simple and soulful.
My Story
Food has always been at the center of my life, not just for nourishment, but as a way to connect, celebrate, and care for others. Growing up, I loved being in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors, and watching how a shared meal could bring people together. But as life got busier, I noticed how easily food became an afterthought for many of us.
When I started working in professional kitchens, I realized just how much thought, planning, and love go into creating dishes that not only taste good but also sustain us. That’s what led me to specialize in meal prep: it’s the intersection of practicality, wellness, and creativity. I wanted to help people discover that healthy eating doesn’t need to be complicated; it just needs a plan and a touch of flavor.
The Turning Point
My real shift came in my late 30s when I was balancing long hours in the kitchen with my own personal health. I found myself too exhausted to cook for myself, relying on quick fixes that left me drained. One night, after yet another dinner of takeout that didn’t sit well, I asked myself: If I can prep meals for hundreds of customers, why am I not doing this for myself?
I started experimenting with batch cooking, portioning, and prepping meals that supported my energy and kept me nourished during busy weeks. The difference was almost immediate: more clarity, better sleep, and no more decision fatigue about what to eat. That moment became the foundation for my work today: showing others how meal prep can be life-changing.
What I Learned the Hard Way
I’ve learned that meal prep isn’t just about chopping vegetables and stacking containers. I used to think it was all about efficiency, but I learned the hard way that without flavor, flexibility, and creativity, prepped meals go uneaten. I also struggled with the trap of perfection, spending hours trying to make every dish “Pinterest perfect” until I burned out.
Meal prep, I discovered, has to be realistic, sustainable, and built around your actual life, not someone else’s version of it.
My Approach Now
Today, my approach to meal prep is all about balance. I focus on building flavor-forward meals that are quick to prepare, easy to store, and nourishing for both body and mind. I blend professional kitchen techniques with everyday strategies so anyone busy parents, professionals, or wellness seekers can benefit from a stocked fridge of meals that actually get eaten.
I believe in small steps, smart planning, and bringing joy back into food prep. Whether it’s simplifying grocery lists or teaching people how to batch cook like a pro, my mission is to make meal prep less of a chore and more of a lifestyle upgrade.
What I Believe
- Meal prep should make life easier, not harder.
- Food is fuel, but it should also bring joy.
- Small, consistent steps in the kitchen lead to lasting health changes.
- Flavor is non-negotiable. Healthy meals should never feel boring.
- A stocked fridge is a gift to your future self.
